Una pelle liscia, soda e luminosa è il sogno di tutti. Tuttavia il passare del tempo non è favorevole to maintaining a youthful appearance. Beauty salons offer a lot of treatments that are designed not only to slow down the effects of the passage of time but even to undo adverse changes. Wrinkles, loss of firmness, discolouration and uneven colour are the most common problems. One of the most frequently chosen treatments is microneedle mesotherapy. What effects does it bring?
What is microneedle mesotherapy?
The microneedle mesotherapy treatment involves puncturing the skin (usually the face) with a device equipped with microneedles – it is a derma roller or Dermapen. The needles are usually made of surgical steel or titanium alloys.
Sliding the device over your face causes controlled microdamage to the dermis level. Thus, it is stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin fibres.
Puncturing with a rotary head, equipped with microneedles, is performed after cleaning the area of the skin to be treated. An ampoule with a selected concentrated cosmetic preparation is applied to it. Such a nourishing cocktail applied to the skin, which has much higher permeability during the treatment, will work much more effectively.
Microneedle mesotherapy – effects that will delight you!
The effects of nourishing and refreshing the skin are visible after the first treatment. However, to make them more durable and satisfying, it is recommended to perform at least 4-6 repetitions, at intervals of 2-4 weeks.
The effects of micro needle mesotherapy are visible and permanent. The skin recovers:
- firmness
- tension
- flexibility
- healthy coloring.
Wrinkles, including mimic ones, are significantly shallower. The epidermis becomes thicker, which is why it has a better protective function.
Microneedle mesotherapy also brings measurable effects in terms of reducing scars (for example, acne scars).
Microneedle mesotherapy at home – is it worth it or not?
If you want to take advantage of the benefits of this procedure, but you do not have the time or resources to perform it in the office, you can do mesotherapy yourself at home.
In some drugstores or cosmetics wholesalers you will find sets for home microneedle mesotherapy , consisting of a derma roller and a nutritious, concentrated cocktail.
However, remember that self-treatment at home is at greater risk. You can be exposed to:
- infection – surgery in the office is carried out in sterile conditions;
- irritation – if you make too many punctures or they are too deep;
- allergy – if you have not used the treatment before, you can not fully predict how your skin will react to the application of the preparation to irritated skin.
Home treatment will not be as effective as the one carried out by a professional.
Although the description of the procedure for a person who has not yet performed it may sound scary, in fact microneedle mesotherapy is relatively safe and painless.
Microneedle mesotherapy – side effects
The microneedle mesotherapy treatment (both Dermapen and derma roller are equally effective), however, may have some undesirable effects. Belong to them:
- pain or burning of sensitive skin after surgery;
- bruises or small hematomas;
- irritation.
Possible swelling and redness should, however, disappear spontaneously within 2-3 days after surgery.
